Fortuna League, Round 14: Sparta Praha – Slovan Liberec 1:1
Slovan ended the calendar year 2020 and the autumn part of FORTUNA:LIGA with a match at Letná against Prague´s Sparta. In the first half, two controversial penalties were imposed, but Filip Nguyen held Slovan in it and Kamso Mara scored at the other end. Early in the second half, Lukáš Juliš levelled the scores with his head. Thus, Slovan said goodbye to 2020 with a 1-1 draw.
Fortuna League, Round 13: Slovan Liberec – Mladá Boleslav 3:0
Slovan last presented himself in the autumn part at the home stadium U Nisy. His opponent was FORTUNA in the 13th round: LEAGUE FK Mladá Boleslav. The course of the match was similar to the previous duel with Opava. Slovan quickly took the lead thanks to the Goal´s goal and added another goal to the half. In the end, Rondić also penalized and adjusted to the final 3-0.
Fortuna League, Round 12: Slovan Liberec – SFC Opava 2:0
Liberec - The Silesian side entered the match without several players who tested positive, and Slovan took advantage en route to a 2-0 win over Opava. In the 2nd minute, Michael Rabušic converted a penalty and Taras Kačaraba increased the lead before the half.
Fortuna League, Round 11: Slavia Praha – Slovan Liberec 3:0
Liberec / Prague - In the 11th round of FORTUNA:LIGA, a difficult opponent in the form of Prague´s Slavia was waiting for Slovan. Slovan started with a clear goal, namely to benefit from break situations. However, Slavia´s defense was firm and cautious. Despite a sympathetic and combative performance, the Liberec footballers failed to score a goal. After two goals by Sima and a goal by Olayinka, we lost by a difference of three goals.
Europa League, Group stage: Slovan Liberec – Crvena Zvezda Beograd 0:0
Even the home win against Ghent (2-1) was not enough to maintain the promotion chance for Liberec, so we played the last match of this year´s Europa League against Serbian club Crvena zvezda at the U Nisy stadium. In the match, both teams generated several chances, but neither managed to score a goal.
Fortuna League, Round 10: Slovan Liberec – Slovácko 1:1
1. FC Slovácko visited the U Nisy stadium, with whom we have never lost at home in history and nothing has changed today. In the first half, Daníček Matouška fouled in the lime, for which he received a red card. Rabušic converted the subsequent penalty. Shortly after the start of the second half, Kačaraba received a second yellow card and a moment later Reinberk called the corner. The match ended 1-1.
Europa League, Group stage: KAA Gent – Slovan Liberec 1:2
Slovan went to Ghent with the goal of maintaining third place in the group stage of the Europa League and did so. Mara opened the scoring after a nice combination with Pešek and Kačaraba added the second goal. Shortly afterwards, Yaremchuk brought Gent within one, but that’s as close as they came. The end of the match was marked by the opponent´s frustration, but nothing changed in the result. Slovan won 2-1 and will keep third place in the table.
Europa League, Group stage: Slovan Liberec – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 0:2
After the restart of FORTUNA:LIGA, Slovan hosted Hoffenheim in the Europa League. At the beginning of the match, Slovan were more active, but then more and more Hoffenheim controlled the ball. No goals were scored in the first half, with relatively few chances. Baumgartner scored the first goal in the 77th minute and Kramarić added an insurance marker on a penalty in the 89th minute.
Fortuna League, Round 8: Slovan Liberec – Jablonec 1:3
In the 55th first-league edition of the Podještěd derby, both teams showed a very active and combative performance. In the second minute, Koscelník scored an unfortunate own goal after a corner kick. In the 28th minute, Mara equalized from the penalty. However, Jablonec was better in the second half and won after the goals of Schranz and Zelený.
Fortuna League, Round 7: FK Teplice – Slovan Liberec 1:2
After a long break, the highest Czech competition started this weekend. Slovan found themselves in the seventh round in Teplice, where we tend to struggle. In addition, a large part of our staff was missing, both due to a positive test for COVID-19 and other health reasons. In the first half, Kačaraba and Pešek took care of Slovan´s goals with the captain´s armband. In the second half, Knobloch defeated the penalty, and even though we finished with 10 men, we were fortunate to win 2-1!
